CULINARY & NUTRITION

Helping to ensure that children are making healthy food and activity choices is part of our holistic approach to children’s well-being at Best Point Education & Behavioral Health.

Good nutrition plays a big part of a child’s physical, mental and emotional well-being.

One initiative by Best Point Education & Behavioral Health is our Mighty Meals program! Many of the kids we serve live at or below, some as much as 200% below, poverty level. We help many children during the week with take-home meals called “Power Packs” but over the weekend many of our kids still face what scholars call “Food Insecurities.”

Our kids simply call it “being hungry.” Will you help? Click here for more information about our Mighty Meals program and how you can get involved with our fight against child hunger!

As part of our holistic approach to children’s well-being at Best Point Education & Behavioral Health, The Nutrition Council has become an important part of our organization.

Children and their families have many needs, and healthy eating often does not rise to the top of the list. With established ties between nutrition, attention spans and cognitive development, ensuring that children and their families make healthier food and lifestyle choices is a much-needed service, particularly for children at risk.

The Nutrition Council provides scientifically sound nutrition information, practical tips, and recipes to help consumers put nutrition science into action.

Best Point Education & Behavioral Health of Cincinnati is a provider of the Community Eligibility Provision program. Since 2018, this has allowed our program to offer free meals to all students enrolled here. We offer daily breakfast, lunch and summer meals to all students enrolled in our programs.
